A dedicated martial art student since his teens, Matthew began practicing yoga in the late 90's to improve his strength and flexibility. Cross-training quickly evolved into a passion. First he concentrated on strong, dynamic practices, gradually exploring different approaches, Anusara, Gentle Hatha, Flow, Sivananda, Ashtanga, Yin and Akhanda.

Currently, Matthew's interests outside of teaching group classes include Yoga Therapy, Tantra, Buddhism, Massage Therapy, Specialized soft tissue treatments, Facilitating teacher trainings and great food. A passion for sharing yoga with anyone who is curious. Believing there is “a yoga” for everyone – it's a matter of finding the right teacher and style. Matthew enjoys creating dynamic sequences to keep his students present and believes that this is key to an effective practice. His teaching style is strong and soft, balancing strength and flexibility.
